The Unisco participate in a symposium about the Egyptian Coptic Tradition
In the seat of the Unisco organization in Paris a symposium was discussed about the Coptic tradition in Egypt under the auspices of Farowk Hosny the minister of culture, which organized with the participation of the Arabian World Institute in Paris. Ali Maher the Egyptian ambassador in Paris, Tahani Omer the lasting Egyptian delegate of the UNISCO and many French persons that interested in the culture and heritage attended the symposium.

The aim of the symposium was to realize the Coptic heritage in Egypt and to be as a missionary work to protect and resurrect it.

    Guergues Loka the pastor of the French Coptic church in Paris gave a lecture titled "Copts of Egypt between yesterday and today" in which explained the relation between Copts and their home (EGYPT), whether Copts inside Egypt or abroad. On the other hand the Arabian World Institute celebrated yesterday a singing traditional festival for Sufi recitation, in addition to Coptic hymns titled "2000 years ago of singing and spiritual music in Egypt".

 

Islamic glorification and Christian hymns all together in France.
Born in 1956 he studied musical composition as a protégé of the late Egyptian musician Aziz EL-Shawan, and studied conducting under the supervision of the world renowned musical conductor Yousef El-Sisi. George Kyrillos obtained his baccalaureate in musical composition and orchestral conducting in 1992. He taught musical sciences at the Academy of Arts and the faculty of musical education. George Kyrillos specialized in religious music, so he founded the David Ensemble in 1975.
Coptic Heritage in Stockholm
David ensemble under the leadership of the maestro George Kyrillos has come back from Stockholm after being a representation for Egypt in the international orient Festival through an invitation from the ensemble presented Hymns (Coptic heritage) some of which characterized by pharaonic roots. The Swiss TV through its each channels, mass media, the important Swiss newspapers and magazines covered all about the performance of the Egyptian ensemble and described it as one of a kind.

Sameh Darar, the Egyptian ambassador in Swisser Land, met with the ensemble and George Kyrillos the maestro and the leader of it, and also Ahmed El Maghrabi the manager of the Egyptian center of culture and arts... he congratulate them for the major success and the honorable representation for elevating Egypt name.

It is well known that the ensemble previously presented its hymns with El-enshad El-Sufi Choir, led by El-Sheik Mohamed El-Halabawi in the holy arts Festival in 1995 in Paris. The funny thing is that George kyrillos the leader of the ensemble is an engineer but learned the leadership and musical composition by the maestro Youssif El-Sais and the dead composer Aziz El-Shawan. He is the first Egyptian to get Diploma in orchestra leadership in Arts Academy.
